Located just 7 miles outside of Greenville, Taylors, South Carolina is a beautifully situated suburb with a population of approximately 20,000. Less than five miles away is the 1540-acre Paris Mountain State Park, with hiking and biking trails that pass through old growth hardwood forests. Even grander, but slightly farther away is Caesar's Head State Park. With some 50 miles of hiking trails, one of which leads to the awe-inspiring 420-foot Raven Cliff Falls, this 7500-acre park is considered a "must-see".

 

If you're looking to enjoy a beautiful day in Taylors, then you may want to check out Perdue's Mountain Fruit Farm. This sprawling country farm features 16 types of fruit and more than 110 varities. It also sells a wide variety of freshly made items, including preserves, honey, applebutter and applesauce, boiled green peanuts and apple cider. Purdue's also sells local vegtables such as tomatoes, corn and peppers. Walking farm tours are also available.

 

Homes in the Taylors area range from entry level starter homes to large custom homes with views of the mountains with many located on a golf course. The median Taylors real estate price is $175,000, with homes ranging from $100,000 up to three quarters of a million dollars.

 

The average number of homes for sale in the greater Greenville area is 5,500, with 1000 of those being brand new homes that have never been lived in. In 2006, the average sale price of a home in this area was $182,000.
